For homeowners & small businesses

Your roof already has headroom. Let it pay you back.

DCDATA installs solar, battery and a smart energy panel at your property — at no cost to you — and pays you a transparent, automatic monthly share of the compute revenue your Node generates. Your energy needs always come first.

5.3 Homeowner value

What hosting a Node gets you.

Hosting costs nothing upfront: DCDATA and its financing partners fund the solar, battery and compute installation in full.

Zero upfront cost

Solar, battery and a smart energy panel installed and financed by DCDATA and its capital partners — not by you.

Lower energy bills

New solar and battery capacity sized to meaningfully reduce what you pay for grid power, on top of any compute income.

Whole-site backup power

Your whole-home or whole-site battery keeps the lights, fridge and essentials running during a grid outage.

Automatic monthly payments

A transparent, auditable share of compute revenue lands on the same schedule as everyone else in the ledger — no waiting on a quarterly statement.

How it works

From first conversation to first payment.

1

Register your interest

Tell us about your property — roof orientation, existing solar or battery, and your electrical connection. We check fit for a Node in your area.

2

Site assessment & design

Our installer network sizes your solar, battery and smart energy panel to cover your household needs, the Node's compute load, and a resilience margin.

3

Installation, at no cost to you

DCDATA and its financing partners fund and install the equipment. Your energy retailer or network operator is engaged as a structural partner, not a bystander.

4

Your Node joins DCOS

DCOS begins monitoring your generation, battery state and consumption in real time — and always serves your own energy needs before any compute workload.

5

Compute is sold, revenue is split, automatically

As your Node's spare capacity is sold to compute customers, your share of the revenue is calculated and paid on a transparent, auditable ledger — every month.

Transparent by design

The same ledger that pays DCDATA pays you.

Every DCDATA Node sits inside a multi-party revenue share. DCOS settles this automatically, in near real time, against a shared, auditable ledger — so you can see exactly how much compute was sold, at what price, and what you were paid for your share of it.

FAQ

The questions every host asks first.

Does hosting a Node cost me anything?

No. DCDATA and its financing partners fund the solar, battery, smart energy panel and compute installation in full. There is no upfront cost to you as the host.

Will the compute Node affect my own power supply?

No — DCOS is designed to serve your household or business energy needs first, always. Compute workloads are only served from surplus generation and storage, and are throttled or moved to another Node in the fleet if your own needs require it.

What happens during a power outage?

Your whole-site battery prioritises backup power for your home or business during an outage. DCOS fails compute workloads over to healthy Nodes elsewhere in the fleet, so the outage doesn't compromise your service or your compute revenue in the same way it would a single-site data centre.

How and when do I get paid?

DCOS settles the multi-party revenue split automatically, on a shared and auditable ledger, on a monthly schedule. You can see exactly how much compute your Node sold and what your share was — there's no quarterly black box.

Is the compute module noisy or intrusive?

DCDATA compute modules are liquid-cooled and purpose-built for quiet residential and small-business operation, and are installed with the same care as the solar and battery system alongside them.

What if I already have solar or a battery?

We assess your existing system as part of the site survey. Depending on your setup, DCDATA may add battery or panel capacity, or integrate a smart energy panel with your existing solar to bring your property up to Node-ready specification.
